Melva LaJoy Legrand served for a second year in a row as the Executive Producer for NSLA’s first sold out National Conference which took over 800 attendees beyond the host venue of the Mayflower Hotel DC to a custom reception experience at new DC venue Planet Word Museum DC. For a second time, this event hosted current U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, PhD. Additional featured speakers included: Secretary of Labor, Marty Wash and former U.S Secretary of Education, John B. King, Jr., PhD.
